Building Community in SE Portland
Pitch in to build a new community room at Country Squire
We have a vision. We have a plan. We just need to raise the money for construction and materials.
It’s our spring fundraising drive!
Tucked away off SE 72nd, Country Squire Apartments houses 71 residents, including families and seniors, all of whom qualify for reduced rent.
On a sunny day, you can hear lively, multilingual conversations and laughter floating across the
garden—but in the rainy winter season, it’s quiet. Currently, there are no indoor spaces for
neighbors to gather.
The residents of Country Squire have identified a need for an indoor community space: a place where kids can do homework, adults can meet for classes, and families can share meals.
That’s where you come in! With your help, we will transform an existing bare laundry room into a warm and vibrant community space. We have a vision. We have a plan. We just need to raise the money for construction and materials.
Please help us build community in outer SE by supporting the community room project in May. Giving online is secure and takes just a second. You can also call us at 503-788-8052 or mail a check to 5215 SE Duke St., Portland, OR 97206.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by May 31st. Every little bit, every $5 donation, puts us one step closer!
Special thanks to our lead sponsor of the Country Squire community room rehab project!
And deep gratitude to these generous companies pitching in as well:
