Donor Breakfast 2014

SE PORTLAND, August 7, 2015 – ROSE Community Development, invites Portland and the outer SE community to register for their annual “Donor Breakfast” event on Thursday September 24, 2015 at OMSI. Purchase tickets online at: http://bit.ly/RoseBreakfast2015

This year’s event “Building Healthy Families” will feature: Professional networking, the “Healthy Impact Awards” ceremony (honoring five winners making an impact in outer SE), plated breakfast by Bon Appétit.

ROSE Executive Director Nick Sauvie will talk on ROSE’s new strategic plan, and highlights of new ROSE programs including: the “Baby Booster” health initiative, Lents Youth Initiative, and the Club RC Latino Soccer Academy. The event will also feature a ROSE resident testimonial, and an ask for support.

Jean DeMaster (of Human Solutions) joins ROSE as this year’s keynote speaker. Jean is a long-time affordable housing advocate, with a prolific career making a positive impact in outer SE and throughout Portland.

ROSE sees this year as a critical crossroads. The organization, with the help of community supporters, has the opportunity to make a transformative difference – by meeting the growing need for affordable housing, and providing life-changing programs to children and families in outer SE Portland.

Tickets are $25, Tables and Sponsorships are also available. All funds raised at this event go toward the mission and work that has defined ROSE since 1992: Connecting our community to build good homes, healthy families, and neighborhood opportunities in outer southeast Portland.

Starting with the rehabilitation of one home in Lents, ROSE has built or rehabilitated more than 430 affordable homes, two new parks, seven playgrounds, and hosted hundreds of neighborhood events over their twenty-four years of comprehensive, place-based community development.
